Designed in the same way as the Milk Bar calf teats, these teats ensure that your fragile lambs and kids are fed at the speed nature intended. The feeders are strong and durable and the system can fit into any farm situation.
Milk Bar Lamb & Kid Teats
The Milk Bar Lamb & Kid teat is designed to simulate the natural suckling action of a lamb or kid on their mother, to ensure correct digestion of milk.
The inverted tip of the teat prevents irritation in the animal’s mouth, and there are no threads or valves within the teat to harbour old milk or bacteria. Lambs/Kids drink at the speed that nature intended, which means that milk enters the correct stomach and is fully digested, resulting in maximum absorption of lactose and other nutrients which results in increased growth rates. Nutritional scours, which usually result from fast drinking and incorrect digestion, are prevented. The teats are easy to clean and do not need to be removed for cleaning. They are made of high quality rubber which means that they last longer than other teats on the market.
Milk Bar Lamb & Kid 1
This Milk Bar Lamb & Kid 1 is perfect for feeding lambs and kids kept in single pens. It can be fitted with the normal or colostrum milk bar lamb & kid teats.
This feeder has strong, moulded hooks that can hook onto a 25 mm rail. There is a convenient hand grip for carrying the feeders around. Each feeder can hold up to 3 litres of milk.
Milk Bar Lamb & Kid Colostrum Teats
The Milk Bar Lamb & Kid colostrum teat is made of a softer rubber than the normal milk bar lamb & kid teat, to make feeding lambs and kids their colostrum easy, and to teach them how to use the teats before they go onto the normal ones.
The inverted tip of these teats prevents irritation in the animal’s mouth, and there are no internal threads or valves that can harbour old milk or bacteria. This teat is great to use for the first 5 or 6 feeds when feeding fresh colostrum, to get the lambs used to the teat, before changing to the normal teats. These teats should not be used after the first 5 or 6 feeds as the lambs/kids will begin to drink to quickly which can lead to nutritional scours.
These teats can be used in same Milk Bar trainer bottle as used for calves.
Milk Bar Lamb & Kid 3
The Milk Bar Lamb & Kid 3 is great for feeding lambs & kids kept in groups of 2 or 3. It can be fitted with the normal or colostrum milk bar lamb & kid teats.
This feeder has strong, moulded hooks that can hook onto a 25 mm rail, and convenient hand grips for carrying around. Each feeder can hold 3 litres.
Milk Bar Lamb & Kid 7
The Milk Bar Lamb & Kid 7 is made to feed groups of 4 to 7 lambs & kids at the same time. It can be fitted with the normal or colostrum milk bar lamb & kid teats.
This feeder has a sturdy carry handle and hooks to fit 25 mm or 40 mm rails. It can hold up to 15 litres, with increments every 5 litres for accurate volume measurement.
